What is THE INFLUENCE???
THE INFLUENCE is a site to encourage women to love themselves for who they are and not punish themselves for what the media says they are not. The negative influence of the media and the unrealistic standard that it set for women is an issue that is not addressed as much as it should; it truly does have an effect on women everyday life and the way that they see and portray themselves based on what society embellishes around them. THE INFLUENCE was made to be the positive influence against the media's exploitation and to transform the pessimistic influence in to optimistic influence. The goal is for women to feel confident about themselves, know how to deal with the media's propaganda, and know they don't have to fit into the unrealistic standards that society sets for them. We women can the positive influence in our lives to make a difference in the way we allow the world to see us and the way we see ourselves.BE YOUR OWN INFLUENCE....the media doesn't define what women areWE DO.
